When you book our services, we commit resources and time exclusively for you. To protect this commitment, a deposit is taken, guaranteeing both the reservation of your chosen date and our ability to serve you.

In addition, our cancellation policy provides clear guidelines, allowing us both to adjust our schedules or availabilities in a timely manner. This not only safeguards our business operations but also reinforces a respectful relationship between ourselves and our clients.

We also understand that certain factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, illness, or changes to ongoing projects, may occasionally impact the start dates of scheduled work. Our flexibility of start dates policy ensures that while we will make every effort to honour the agreed date, we may need to adjust timelines when necessary. Rest assured, any changes will be communicated promptly, and we will work with you to find a suitable alternative.

Callum Woods Joinery & Building - Deposit Policy

1. Deposit Requirement:

To secure a booking and confirm your project's date with Callum Woods Joinery & Building, a deposit is required. The deposit amount is 10% of the total estimated value of the project. This deposit serves as a commitment to both parties and ensures the reservation of resources and manpower for the agreed-upon project.

2. Payment Plan:

Following the deposit payment, the remaining balance will be divided into weekly payments. The number of weekly payments will be based on the estimated length of time required to complete the project. For instance, if the total project cost is £50,000 and the projected completion time is 12 weeks:

  • Deposit: 10% of £50,000 = £5,000

  • Remaining Balance: £45,000

The remaining balance of £45,000 will be divided into 12 equal payments of £3,750 each week.

3. Payment Process:

Customers will be provided with Callum Woods Joinery & Building's official bank details to facilitate the payment process. Payments are to be made weekly on Thursdays. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that payments are made on time and that the correct reference or invoice number is used when making each payment.

4. Refund and Cancellation:

In the event of project cancellation, the refund of the deposit will be subject to the terms outlined in our cancellation policy. 

5. Project Changes:

Any changes to the scope, timeline, or cost of the project will be discussed and mutually agreed upon by both parties. Adjustments to the payment plan may be made accordingly.

Callum Woods Joinery & Building - Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms and conditions governing the cancellation of services provided by Callum Woods Joinery & Building (“the Company”). We value our relationship with our clients and aim to offer clarity and fairness in our policies. We urge all clients to thoroughly read and understand the terms set out below before entering into an agreement with the Company.

2. Deposit

2.1. To secure a booking date for any of our services, a 10% deposit of the total estimated job cost is required. This deposit serves as a commitment from the client that they intend to proceed with the service on the scheduled date.

2.2. The deposit is non-refundable except in the circumstances outlined in section 3 of this policy.

3. Cancellation by the Client

3.1. Clients may cancel their booking by providing written notice to the Company. The mode of communication accepted for such written notice is via email only to hello@callumwoodsjoineryandbuiding.co.uk

3.2. If the client cancels their booking:

  • More than 30 days prior to the scheduled date: The 10% deposit will be retained by the Company unless work of a similar value can be booked for the same time period. In such cases where similar value work is secured, the deposit will be returned in full to the client.

  • Less than 30 days prior to the scheduled date: The deposit is non-refundable.

4. Cancellation by the Company

4.1. The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to, natural disasters, employee illnesses, or other emergencies.

4.2. In the event the Company cancels a booking, the client will be offered a rescheduled date. If the client does not accept the rescheduled date or the Company is unable to provide an alternative date, the client will receive a full refund of the deposit and any other amount paid towards the job.

5. Changes to the Cancellation Policy

The Company reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Clients with active bookings will be informed of any significant changes that may affect their agreement.

Callum Woods Joinery & Building - Project Start Date Flexibility Policy

At Callum Woods Joinery & Building, we strive to honour all agreed start dates for your project. However, certain factors beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, illness, or unexpected changes to ongoing projects, may occasionally affect the completion times of current work and impact your scheduled start date.

While we do everything possible to adhere to the dates we provide, we ask for your understanding that these may be subject to change. Should this happen, we will communicate with you as early as possible and work with you to arrange a new start date that fits your schedule.

Our goal is always to deliver high-quality work without compromising on the standards we’re known for, even if adjustments to timing are necessary.
